Co-host Joel West saws the Avila's old bed frame in El Monte, east of Los Angeles. Following Casey's design, Joel is giving a cleaner, more modern look to the Avila's bulky bed frame. To give the Avila's master bedroom a more intimate feel, Casey will take down the bed's bulky footboard so the Avilas can enjoy their fireplace and it's dramatic new mantle, and add roomy, custom made oak night stands. Casey will also update the furniture, and warm up the room with new paint and drapery to create the cosy, boutique hotel chic look that the couple enjoys when traveling.
